Trump, mental health, examination, psychiatrist, physical examination President Donald Trump, flanked by Sen. Dick Durbin (D) of Illinois and Rep. Steny Hoyer (D) of Maryland, held a bipartisan meeting with legislators on immigration reform at the White House on Tuesday. The most transparent event by any president ever.

Each year, every president has a physical examination (which does not include a psychiatric evaluation), and a summary written by the doctor is released to the media.  President Trump has scheduled his next exam tomorrow, January 12th.  Two weeks ago, White House spokesperson, Sarah Huckabee Sanders announced that Dr. Ronny Jackson, a rear-admiral in the U.S. Navy who has served as physician to the president since 2013, “will give a readout of the exam after it’s completed.”

This writer doesn’t believe for one minute that Donald J. Trump has any mental or psychological problems.  I am 100% convinced that a psychiatrist will give him a clean bill of mental health.

To shut up the Media Hacks & the Alt-Left’s incessant caterwauling on this asinine topic, Trump’s physical exam should include an examination by a psychiatrist.  This will prove to everyone that Trump is saner than the Looney Leftists who aren’t successful billionaires, who didn’t win the presidency and who have not created the best economy in 17 years.

An earlier article wherein this writer suggested that President Trump should add a psychiatric evaluation to his scheduled physical exam got a quick response from Michigan native Lorraine:

“This will just feed the frenzy.  Plus how can we be sure that The Left will not pay some psycho psychiatrist to say he’s insane.  I would not put it past them at all.  This is an insult.

It is just too dangerous to have one person decide any president’s mental stability.  It’s just it’s just too freaking scary and insulting to the Constitutionally elected President of the United States that has done so much in one year.  It is just insulting.

Like you said in your article it could open the door to have anyone evaluated which I believe that if wrong or inaccurate diagnosis could ruin a lot of people’s lives.  It would destroy this country on the word of one man.  I just don’t trust the word of one man.  Besides the science of Psychiatry is very subjective and there is very little proof of diagnosis.”

“Trump has turned this country around in an amazingly short time and everything would be lost without his genius.  Nobody can withstand the horror of the left.  Pence although a very good man.  I don’t believe has the strength or genius to continue the country on this winning path.”

In 1964, a magazine called FACT polled mental health professionals on U.S. Senator and GOP presidential candidate Barry Goldwater’s mental fitness to serve as president.

The magazine published a cover story claiming that many found him unfit.  After the election, Goldwater sued the editor for libel AND WON.  This Media outrageous opened a debate in the mental health community and in 1973, the American Psychiatric Association (APA) adopted the “Goldwater rule,” which says:

“… it is unethical for a psychiatrist to offer a professional opinion unless he or she has conducted an examination and has been granted proper authorization for such a statement.”

Today Leftist activists posing as psychiatrists claim that they have seen enough of Trump from his public utterances and tweets to decide the state of his health.  But such diagnosis is inexact and subjective.

Abandoning the Goldwater Rule would set a dangerous precedent that would allow professionals and lay people to judge others to be mentally ill.  With this sort of analysis, why stop with elected officials?  Why not speculate about journalists?  Or public school teachers?  Let’s all of us speculate about the mental health of psychiatrists.  After all, don’t they have a high rate of suicide?

In 2017, the State of Oregon enacted a law which allows family members and law enforcement to “diagnose” the mental health of law-abiding gun owners so that they can be deprived of their Second Amendment Rights.  Ten years from now, when a challenge to this new law winds its way up to the U.S. Supreme Court, it will be overturned.  In the meantime, many people will be denied their Constitutional Rights.

Trump had a physical exam during the campaign and he released a letter from his doctor summarizing it.  According to his doctor, Dr. Harold Bornstein, Trump was in “excellent health.”  Bornstein added that Trump was hospitalized only once in his life — to have his appendix removed when he was 11 years old.

“All of the detailed results are enclosed,” the campaign said.  “We are pleased to disclose all of the test results, which show that Mr. Trump is in excellent health and has the stamina to endure — uninterrupted — the rigors of a punishing and unprecedented presidential campaign and, more importantly, the singularly demanding job of president of the United States.”

This writer is well aware that, when they are proven wrong about Trump’s mental health, The Looney Left will only be silenced for a brief time.  They will immediately hunt for and find something else to badger President Trump with, hoping to slow down the tremendous improvements he is making for America & Americans.

Lorraine’s logic has changed my mind.  Trump’s physical exam should not include a mental exam.  If he is crazy, it is a kind of crazy this country needs after eight years of America-hating Obama.
