Shortly after CNN took home the most “Fake News Awards” earlier this week, the network’s chief White House correspondent proved why his network took home the most awards.
Speaking at the Newseum in Washington, D.C. Wednesday night, Jim Acosta was asked for a response to his network being atop the charts.
“I would say, having been called ‘fake news’ myself, that the president of the United States is the king of fake news. He is the king of fake news. He said Barack Obama was not born in this country. He said Mexicans are rapists and criminals. He has said many things. He said he lost the election because undocumented people voted by the millions.
It’s unfortunate that the president has sunk to that level where he has to go around issuing these kinds of awards. It’s just not what you would think would happen in this country.”
This is the same network who had to retract a fake news story that falsely connected Trump’s campaign members to Russian officials, published a piece calling for the term “fake news” to be banned, and ran a segment on how many scoops of ice cream Trump had at an event.
But Trump is pushing fake news?
One day prior to the awards, Acosta threw a temper tantrum when he belligerently shouted at Trump in the Oval Office to answer if he was “racist” and preferred “white people” over other races.
He tweeted that White House press aides “shouted” in his face to “drown out” his questions. How pathetic.
As I attempted to ask questions in Roosevelt Room of Trump, WH press aides shouted in my face to drown out my questions. I have never encountered that before.

But once the video was released, one can clearly see that the press were asked very nicely on numerous occasions to leave, and Acosta refused to leave.
He continued to shout his racially charged questions at Trump, and there were no aides anywhere near him:

Maybe that should have been added to the award list, then CNN could have solidified its place as the nation’s champion of peddling fake news.
This is CNN, and no one pushes more fake news than Acosta.
