Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was asked a very simple question about how to pay for the “free” medicare she wants for everyone, yet her head-scratching response proves she has no earthly idea what she is talking about.

During an interview Wednesday on CNN’s “Cuomo Prime Time,” the 28-year-old New York socialist struggled mightily to explain where she would get the tens of trillions of dollars to pay for “medicare for all” idea.
CNN anchor Chris Cuomo’s question was straightforward:
“Medicare for all, college tuition, maybe even housing, that the green new deal that you have, it is all very expensive. Even in Bernie’s home state they got sticker shock. They couldn’t get it done in his state because of how expensive it is … that was too much for people. How do you pay? How do you sell it?”
In response, Ocasio-Cortez blamed conservative studies for being biased, claimed “medicare for all” would be “cheaper” than the current system, and oddly said the current system is inaccurate because it doesn’t include funeral costs in its figures.
“Well, first of all, the thing that we need to realize is people talk about the sticker shock of Medicare for All. You know, in a Koch brothers-funded study, if any study is going to try to be a little bit slanted it would be one funded by the Koch Brothers.”
“It shows that Medicare for All is actually much more — is actually much cheaper than the current system that we pay right now. And we’re also not talking about why aren’t we incorporating the cost of all the funeral expenses of those who die because they can’t afford access to health care. That is part of the cost of our system.”
Cuomo pushing Ocasio-Cortez about paying for her radical socialist ideas came after two bombshell studies revealed the steep price tag for socialism — and it could literally bankrupt America.
On Tuesday, left-wing outlet Vox published a report revealing that entitlement programs promoted by socialists would roughly cost America a jaw-dropping $218 trillion over the next 30 years.
With all of the socialist giveaways tallied, the federal government would be forced to make dramatic cuts across the board in areas such as Defense spending to help pay for it all. And the government would have to raise taxes substantially on everyone and everything.
The shocking analysis from Vox came a week after the Mercatus Center at George Mason University found “medicare for all” idea would increase government health care spending by $32.6 trillion over 10 years.
Sanders-style Medicare-for-All would cost $32.6 TRILLION. That’s:
-Nearly twice our annual GDP
-54x our annual defense spending
-Over 8x our annual federal budget
-281x the private sector’s annual medical R&D investment
-867x the federal government’s annual medical R&D investment https://t.co/YhCaF9it6Z

The reality of the situation is that the Bernie Sanders/Ocasio-Cortez socialist giveaway plan would more than likely bankrupt the U.S. over time. And the federal government would be forced to raise taxes on everyone significantly while making major cuts in spending to even make a dent in paying for it.
That’s a fact, and the socialist refuses to admit it.
