Ocasio-Cortez: Dems must take back ‘all three chambers of Congress’

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who will officially become a member of Congress in January, has no earthly idea how the federal government works.

During a Facebook live video on Saturday, the 29-year-old socialist spoke to her supporters about helping to ensure Democrats take back “all three chambers of Congress.”

“The Progressive movement works and it wins in all districts. If we work our butts off to make sure that we take back all three chambers of Congress– three chambers of government,” she said.

After realizing there aren’t three “chambers” of government, she attempted to clarify by saying she meant the House, Senate, and White House.

The three branches of government are the legislative, executive, and judicial, and it was quite obvious to many that the socialist darling had no idea what she was talking about.

But this is hardly the first time she has made mind-boggling comments, leading many to believe she’s severely under-equipped to be a congresswoman.

Earlier this month, Ocasio-Cortez attacked the electoral system because she can’t receive her congressional salary until she’s officially sworn in as a member of Congress.

She will not be officially sworn in as a member of Congress until January, so she cannot receive her cushy congressional salary until then. This, apparently, is not sitting well with her.

“I have three months without a salary before I’m a member of Congress, so how do I get an apartment?” Ocasio-Cortez said. “Those little things are very real.”

For starters, she used a portion of her election victory speech on Nov. 6 to accuse Immigration Customs and Enforcement of committing “humans rights violations.”

“We launched this campaign because no one was clearly and authentically talking about issues like the corrupting role of money in politics. Like the disturbing human rights violations being committed by ICE,” Ocasio-Cortez said.

Just before that, she called President Donald Trump a “white supremacist” and appeared to argue that the migrant caravan marching toward the United States has a “right of passage” to enter the country.

Before then, she spoke about a bizarre “segmenting plan,” illustrating that she apparently wants to further divide people rather than bring them together.

When she’s not wearing a $3,500 outfit for a photo shoot and pushing a $218 trillion socialist giveaway plan that experts argue could bankrupt the nation over time, she’s making comments completely detached from reality.

The same woman who has no idea how government works will begin receiving $174,000 a year when she’s sworn in as a member of Congress in two months.
