In what looks like another desperate attempt to remain relevant, the twice failed presidential candidate accused President Donald Trump and Republicans on Tuesday of “copying” her 2016 presidential slogan.
On Monday night, Trump held a rally in El Paso, Texas.
When the rally ended, the GOP’s official Twitter account tweeted out a graphic that featured an image of Trump with the words “we’re only getting stronger together.”
In response, Clinton claimed that Trump and Republicans stole her 2016 presidential logo, “Stronger Together.”
“Now copy my plan on health care, a fairer tax system, and voting rights,” Clinton tweeted on Tuesday.
Clinton’s weak and poorly run 2016 campaign used two basic words for their slogan, and are trying to argue that anyone who uses those words in a sentence is stealing from her.
Trump and Republicans used common words to call for unity, which is something Democrats have made clear they don’t want.
Still bitter from her epic loss to Trump, Clinton’s never-ending attempts to remain relevant has hit a new embarrassing low.
But it’s not surprising given this is the same woman who last year who rejected civility toward Trump officials.
During an interview with The Guardian’s Decca Aitkenhead, the former Secretary of State not only rejected the idea of civility toward Trump administration officials, she also took a swipe at First Lady Melania Trump.
Clinton was asked about the first lady and what she thought about Trump’s immigration policies, which led to Clinton smearing the administration.
Aitkenhead wrote that she asked Clinton about the jacket that the first lady wore to visit a child detention center in Texas late last month, which read on the back, “I really don’t care, do u?”
Predictably, the jacket sent the liberal media into a frenzy, with many claiming the slogan was a message to critics. She only wore the jacket briefly while boarding the plane at the White House, and did not wear it at the facility. But, liberals won’t let facts get in the way of their hate-filled agenda.
Aitkenhead writes that Clinton took a swipe at Melania Trump:
“Clinton slumps back in her chair, wide eyed, arms spread, defeated by the mystery. ‘That, I have no idea. I have no idea. I can’t even … I don’t have any idea. I don’t know.’ Does she feel sorry for the first lady? ‘I don’t know. I honestly don’t know.’”
Later in the interview, Clinton also rejected the idea of civility when asked about Democratic lawmakers encouraging harassment and confrontations with Trump cabinet officials in public.
“Give me a break! What is more uncivil and cruel than taking children away? It should be met with resolve and strength. And if some of that comes across as a little uncivil, well, children’s lives are at stake; their futures are at stake. That is that ridiculous concept of bothsideism.”
Oddly enough, Clinton never once called for resolve, strength, and incivility when her boss, former President Barack Obama, was separating tens of thousands of children at the border. In fact, Clinton got busted trying to fundraise off the “border crisis.”
