The majority of Americans believe that the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) Director Dr. Anthony Fauci’s decisions in handling the COVID-19 pandemic have been influenced by politics. On Monday, thousands of emails from Fauci surfaced, revealing how he manipulated and dismissed crucial information in the early stages of the pandemic.

These emails reveal a lot, but there are four crucial takeaways: Fauci acknowledged that face coverings are not helpful at preventing the spread of COVID-19, he ignored warnings early in 2020 that the virus may have been engineered, he and his colleagues were involved with “gain of function” research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, and they actively played a role in dismissing the plausibility of the lab leak origin theory

Annnnd here come the smoking guns.
Feb 1, 2020 Fauci exchanged emails with Hugh Auchincloss – a big cheese at the NIAID

I’m still trying to thread through these but here are a series of emails with email subject line: “IMPORTANT”

The real subject: gain of function research. pic.twitter.com/5TIfrp9sSZ

Republican lawmakers started to hold Fauci even closer to the fire than previously after this came to light. Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul, who has frequently sparred with Fauci over his inconsistency on COVID policies, took to Twitter to call for his firing.

Told you 👀

Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene introduced a bill to fire the long-time public health official.

Fauci’s leaked emails are shocking to say the least. He needs to be FIRED!

I introduced a bill to do just that … HR 2316, the “Fire Fauci Act”.

Naturally, people are outraged. Fauci lied under oath to the American people about his role in “gain of function” research and misled them for months about how to protect themselves from COVID-19. Some conservatives, such as Tucker Carlson, even called for Fauci’s arrest.

Left-wing and legacy media, however, were notably blasé — if not charitable — in their coverage of Fauci. The day after the emails became public, not a single reporter in the June 2 White House press briefing inquired about the emails or Dr. Fauci’s standing with the Biden–Harris administration. On June 3, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said, “It’s obviously not that advantageous for me to relitigate the substance of emails from 17 months ago.”

[email protected] is asked about Dr. Fauci’s emails:

“He’s been an undeniable asset in our country’s pandemic response but it’s obviously not that advantageous for me to re-litigate the substance of emails from 17 months ago.” pic.twitter.com/XGOe2s1qgs

Is it true NOT ONE reporter asked about the Fauci emails in the White House briefing today…? Wow.

In 2012, Dr. Fauci endorsed “gain of function” research. He acknowledged that it could cause a global pandemic but that “the benefits of such experiments and the resulting knowledge outweigh the risks.”

With each passing day it becomes clearer that no matter what Dr. Fauci’s title says, he is not a man of science but a bureaucrat in a lab coat.
